Terms of service

Draft. Accurate about how the software behaves, not checked by a solicitor. Company details are placeholders.

What Hephus does

Hephus gives you software to sell digital products: a store page, a checkout that runs on your own Stripe account, delivery of what you sell, a record of your sales, and optional automations.

What Hephus is not

We are not the seller, the merchant of record, or a payment processor. Every sale is a contract between you and your buyer. We never hold your money: Stripe settles it into your own account and pays it out to you. Refunds, chargebacks and disputes are yours, settled from your Stripe balance.

Your responsibilities as a seller

  • You own or are licensed to sell what you list.
  • Your products are legal, and your claims about them are true. Income claims, before-and-after results and testimonials must be genuine and typical, or clearly qualified.
  • You comply with consumer law, including the right to cancel, and with tax obligations including VAT where it applies.
  • If you run an affiliate programme, your affiliates disclose paid promotion as the CAP Code requires.
  • If you use Instagram automation, you follow Meta's platform terms and do not send unsolicited messages.

What we will not host

Anything illegal; anything that impersonates someone; products that exist to deceive buyers; adult content; and anything that would put our payment or platform partners in breach of their own rules. We can suspend a store that breaches this, and will tell you why.

AI features

Agents draft; you approve. Anything an agent produces is your responsibility once you publish it, and you should read it before it goes out. We do not warrant that generated text is accurate.

Uptime and liability

We will keep Hephus running and tell you when something is wrong, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Our liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid us in the previous twelve months. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

Ending it

You can close your account whenever you like and export your data. We will give you 30 days' notice before closing your account, except where a serious breach means we cannot.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
